My goal is to help students achieve academic success by implementing a strategic study plan that maximizes their strengths.
I have taught biochemistry and general chemistry to pre-medical and medical students, and have served in an academic support role at two medical schools. I have been fortunate to be honored for my work at various institutions with awards for enhancement of student life, mentoring and excellence in teaching. In 2018, I was elected to be inducted into the medical school Honors Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. I enjoy working with students to improve their study skills, create strategies for synthesizing large amounts of dense science material in short periods of time, and help them manage their time more effectively. I was invited to lead a plenary session and a learning specialist breakout session at the upcoming 2019 Coalition for Disability Access in Health Science and Medical Education Conference. I hold a PhD. in Biochemistry from Cardiff University in the U.K.
